New Reports in C-Store Office Track Fuel Margins for Any Date Range
|
|
Petrosoft, Inc. is happy to announce the launch of two new reports that will help C-Store Office customers track fuel margins with accuracy and precision. The new reports can be accessed right from your C-Store Office account homepage. Just click on the link labeled Fuel Margins Consolidated to access the reports. The link is located just beneath the Key Performance Indicators table on the homepage.
The Fuel Margins Consolidated report shows the pool margin on gasoline sales, and margins on other fuel products C-Store Office users may carry, such as diesel and kerosene. The data is organized by date and shows gallons sold, margin and profit. Figures are displayed in a table and also in a series of graphic charts that show gallons sold for each type of fuel product and margins by day. The default display shows the previous thirty days, but like most C-Store Office reports, the Fuel Margins Consolidated report has a date selection feature that allows the user to view margins for any data range desired. The margins shown in the report are true inventory to retail margins, not rack price to retail, so the user can always determine the true margin on fuel on hand.
Multi-store operators can get additional fuel margin data on each individual store as well. Simply click on a given store in the consolidated report to view data on any given location separately. As with the consolidated report, the user can select any date range desired.
The reports are now live on C-Store Office customer sites.

Petrosoft Announces Internet-Based Fuel Distribution System
Huntington Valley, Pa. – Petrosoft Incorporated, of Huntington Valley, Pa., has announced the release of Fuel-Central.com™, an internet-based fuel distribution management system designed for fuel distributors of virtually any size. The new service will launch at the National Convenience Store Association Trade Show in Las Vegas, October 9-11, 2006. It is also being showcased in the “Cool New Products” exhibit at NACS.
Sergei Gorlov, president of Petrosoft, says that Fuel-Central.com represents a breakthrough in efficiency and improved communication for fuel distributors. “Fuel-Central puts the whole distribution chain online,” says Gorlov, “so that information flows to everyone, from the major oil company to the distributor, and from the distributor to their customer. Everybody enjoys the ability to communicate better–and that saves everybody money.”
Fuel-Central.com is totally internet-based. The system uses e-commerce technologies to allow distributors to order fuel electronically, and review purchases, payables and credit card transaction records online. Distributors have the option to set prices automatically; according to formulas they enter into Fuel-Central’s database themselves. Delivery routes can be optimized in the system to minimize driver downtime and help customers manage their inventories better. The system also has tools that allow the distributor to project sales weeks in advance to manage purchase strategies better and capitalize on price fluctuations as they arise.
Fuel Central.com makes life easier for customers, too. Customers can order online, or by traditional telephone orders, if they like. They can also view their account histories online and see pricing, invoices and account status information by simply accessing the distributor’s Fuel-Central.com website.
Petrosoft also offers C-Store Office.com, a complete, internet-based back office system designed solely for the convenience store. Fuel-Central.com integrates 100% with C-Store office, so that companies that make use of both offerings gain efficiencies throughout the distribution chain.
“It’s an end-to-end business solution,” says Sergei Gorlov, “that saves time and money every step of the way.”

C-Store Office™ Launches Lottery Management Module
Huntington Valley, Pa. – Petrosoft Incorporated, of Huntington Valley, PA, has announced the release of a new Lottery Management application for C-Store Office™, the internet-based, back office system designed expressly for convenience stores. The new application will allow C-Store Office users to closely track lottery sales, payouts and inventory; and reconcile inventory electronically at the end of every shift.
C-Store Office is a full-featured, back office system based completely on internet technology. Companies using C-Store Office need not purchase any special hardware or software to get all the advantages of C-Store Office. A standard internet connection in the store is all customers need to update financial and inventory information at the end of every shift and see over 100 detailed reports on all aspects of the business. Electronic invoicing can also be established with key suppliers through C-Store Office.
Sergei Gorlov, president of Petrosoft says the new lottery feature was developed to meet customer demand. “Lottery is a pretty volatile area,” says Gorlov, “and our customers are very concerned about being able to manage it effectively. So, we’ve added these new tools to C-Store Office.com to answer our customers’ concerns.”
C-Store Office allows the user to set up games in the system and enter information about sales, purchases and payouts. Users can scan in tickets and enter sales information about instant games, so that all lottery data is refreshed at the end of every shift. C-Store Office automatically enters sales, purchase and payout information into the general ledger at every shift close, too.
“Owners always know exactly where they are at with these lottery tools,” Gorlov notes, “And because the data is all on the internet, they can always see accurate lottery info whenever they log into the system, day or night.”
Interested store owners can visit the C-Store Office website (www.cstoreoffice.com) to learn more about the system’s features and how to sign up. The system is available for a small monthly subscription fee. There are no licensing fees or hardware investments, and convenience store owners can cancel the service at any time without penalty. C-Store Office customers have seen an average 40 percent reduction in shrinkage due to better inventory control, as well as a 75 percent reduction in paperwork time for store managers.
